Denise Lauria Venitelli, LCSW, a visionary and humanitarian. She is a licensed clinical social worker, child advocate, adjunct college professor and an author. A graduate of Rutgers University with a MSW and a BA in Psychology and Early Childhood Education. Ms. Venitelli. Ms. Venitelli also provides individual and family therapy, specializing in integrating a multi-dimensional approach utilizing different holistic modalities. Her professional career centers on work with children and families; specializing in adoption-related issues, early childhood trauma and abuse, issues of abandonment, separation, loss and attachment. She has experience working with families and children with learning differences; children diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, children diagnosed on the autistic spectrum, children diagnosed on the fetal alcohol spectrum, children with sensory integration issues, occupational therapy issues and central auditory processing difficulties. Randi S. Ashkenas, M.S. OTR/L is a pediatric occupational therapist. With degrees from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Stevens Institute of Technology and Rutgers College, she has a wealth of knowledge in the areas of child psychology and development. She also has training in sensory processing dysfunction, ABA, organizational psychology, program evaluation, and training design and development.
Ms. Ashkenas is a senior occupational therapist with the Board of Education. Her private practice includes early intervention services for infants and toddlers with a variety of developmental delays as well as young adults with a variety of developmental, emotional, and physical disabilities. Additionally, she is trained as a hand, elbow, and shoulder rehabilitation therapist. While having experience working with infants, toddlers and children certainly helps, her greatest teacher and biggest motivation is her 4 year old son, Sam.
